I live in Nashville, Tennessee and have a private practice where I work with women who are frustrated with where their lives are headed.  They are scared there is something wrong with them and they are feeling overwhelmed that nothing is helping their problems.  In essence, they feel like their heart is shutting down.  I work with them to feel whole, to feel worthy of love and to be able to meet the world with an open heart.

Most people don't know what Transpersonal Psychology is.  Transpersonal Psychology takes traditional counseling and adds the perspective that human beings are on a journey, from birth ‘til death through this life.  The impact this makes on how I work with clients is that I maintain an open awareness of the deeper Spiritual principles involved in the issues my clients bring up.  Most often this requires me to call forth my client's awareness of who they Truly are and not "buy-in" to the story their parents taught and the story they learned from failed relationships.

I have been a therapist since 1998, and received my Master’s degree in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, CO in 2004.  I am an ordained minister and have worked extensively with Native American and Yogic modalities for the past 10 years.  Before going back into Private Practice full time, I worked in a juvenile prison where I led a Gang Reduction program for inner city teenage boys.

While in Boulder, I worked with Vietnam Veterans and their wives, taught classes on alcoholism recovery to people convicted of DUIs, worked in private practice with the Niwot Center for Integrative Therapies (now www.coloradotherapies.com.)  In 2004, My wife and I began leading four-day spiritual retreats for couples.
